People are sticking garlic up their noses to treat the common cold?
In today’s world, there are new so-called “health” trends popping up daily and it can be hard to keep up. If you’re not sipping liquid chlorophyll with your red light therapy mask on before you head to pilates, what are you doing?
Here’s my advice...
For starters, relax because you are doing just fine! The next step is to do your research. Don’t believe everything you see on tiktok. While some of these trends are science backed and offer great benefits, others can be detrimental to your health or have no real effect at all.
Once you’ve determined it’s something safe and worth trying, introduce it to your daily routine independently. Choose one habit at a time, and stick with it for a week or two. If you bundle habits together, it will be difficult to determine which ones are providing real benefits… “I feel energized, but I don’t know if it was the protein coffee I had this morning or the matcha latte I drank in the afternoon…”
If you notice sustained positive effects on your wellbeing, stick with it & add it to your daily routine. If not, find something else and give it a try. Everyone’s different and one thing might work wonders for someone else and have no impact on you.
The key is not to do everything. The key is to find the right thing and stay consistent.
